Madigan Pratt & Associates, a full-service Williamsburg advertising agency, has been recognized by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) with a Gold Adrian Award in the 54th annual travel marketing competition.
The advertising agency was awarded the highest honor in the Digital Marketing category for a contest it created for its client, The Reefs Hotel & Club in Bermuda. To launch a new website also designed by the agency, Madigan Pratt & Associates launched the “Show Your Love” contest to invite guests to share a favorite memory of the acclaimed beachfront hotel for a chance to win a free Bermuda vacation. The contest was a success, with 603 entries, more than 3,000 votes, generating increased web traffic, positive public relations and expanding the hotel’s customer database.
This marks the second Adrian Award and first Gold recognition for Madigan Pratt & Associates, which specializes in hotel marketing and public relations. Madigan Pratt, the agency’s Managing Director, is an officer in the newly founded Hampton Roads chapter of HSMAI.
This year’s contest attracted nearly 1,100 entries from around the world, with entries judged by top executives from all sectors of the industry. “The quality of the entries submitted in this year’s HSMAI Adrian Awards competition was truly outstanding,” said Fran Brasseux, HSMAI executive vice president. “This year’s winners represent the most inspiring examples of travel advertising, public relations, and digital marketing. We look forward to sharing this great work with the industry at the Adrian Awards Gala.”
Madigan Pratt & Associates will receive the award during the annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives, on January 31, 2011, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
